To complete the initial install and get the cart up and running, follow the instructions below. Once this is done, you will have a functioning shopping cart system with sample products. You will then need to remove the sample products and populate the cart with your own products, product options, and categories. You also need to set payment, shipping and other customization options.

Quick Installation

1. Create a directory on your server to house the shopping cart application. Alternatively, the cart may be run from the root of the website.
2. Extract the files in the shopping cart archive to the new directory you created above, or extract them to the root of the website if you did not create a directory.
3. Open the file /vsadmin/db_conn_open.asp and edit according to the location of the cart's database. For most installations, the default settings should work.
4. Browse to http://yoursite.com/cart_directory/vsadmin/admin.php and login with Username = mystore, Password = changeme.
5. Click "Main Settings" and set the main options as required for your site.
6. Use the administration menu items to create your products, product options, and categories.
7. Don't forget to set your shipping and payment options.
